Meet the “Frankenstein M.D.” Creative Team

Pemberley Digital’s exciting new web series combines our award-winning multiplatform storytelling format with a talented team of writers and producers from the worlds of web video, television and science fiction.

Bernie Su – Executive Producer

Bernie is familiar to us all as the executive producer and head writer of “The Lizzie Bennet Diaries” and “Emma Approved,” and executive producer and director of “Welcome to Sanditon.” Before that, he was the writer and director of “LOOKBOOK: The Series” featuring Wes Aderhold, wrote several episodes for the scifi/thriller series “Black Box TV,” and created the critically acclaimed series “Compulsions” featuring Craig Frank. He and the Pemberley Digital team worked with “Frankenstein M.D.” co-creators Lon Harris and Brett Register to adapt their initial concept to our interactive, multi-platform format.

Lon Harris – Show Runner/Head Writer

Lon formerly served as writer/producer/host of the popular “This Week In YouTube” series and co-host/producer of “This Week in Startups,” eventually producing dozens of shows for Jason Calacanis’s podcast network, This Week In, as creative director. He is currently head writer of DC Comics’ official weekly web series “DC All Access” and head writer/producer for the YouTube channel “What’s Trending,” for which he won an IAWTV Award in 2014. You can also hear Lon each week on his “Mad Men: You Watch It” fan podcast.

Brett Register – Show Runner/Writer/Director

Brett is an award winning, Emmy nominated writer and director best known for his work on “Dancing with the Stars,” “The Bachelorette” (ABC), “What’s Trending” (CBS News), and most recently “DC All Access” (WB/DC Comics). He has also created original scripted content for the web since 2007, including “The Crew,” “Ask a Ninja,” and “A Good Knight’s Quest.” Pemberley Digital fans may recognize his short film “Dark Night Legacy” starring Daniel Vincent Gordh and Craig Frank, which came in first place at the Machinima International Film Festival.

Danielle Evenson – Writer

Danielle has an extensive background in writing for both television and online. She has been a staff writer on the Julia Louis-Dreyfus CBS sitcom “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” wrote for Cartoon Network’s “Pet Alien,” produced HULU’s “The Morning After” and served as editorial director of She is currently the Senior Transmedia Producer of TBS late night talk show “The Pete Holmes Show,” produced by Conan O’Brien.

Frederick Kim – Writer/Consulting Producer

Fred is a screenwriter and physician who began his writing career during his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona, when he wrote a short story for Star Trek that was published by Pocket Books. He went on to write teleplays that have been recognized by the TrackingB, Script Pipeline, and Screenwriting Expo competitions. “Sleepers,” his first pilot, won the CAPE New Writers Award in 2011. His most recent pilot, “Level 4,” is a post-apocalyptic medical procedural.
